Caroline’s Ponche-de-Crème

Fancy a creamy tipple? This gorgeous drink originates in Trinidad and I have enjoyed it during the festive season in the Caribbean but it tastes just as good on a cold day in December in the UK.

Easy to make, blend the following ingredients together and bottle:

6 eggs whisked until frothy

3 cans of condensed milk

1 can of evaporated milk

300 ml of dark rum

1 tbsp aromatic bitters

Freshly grated nutmeg to taste

1 tsp grated lime zest

Serve with crushed ice. The drink will keep in a fridge for two weeks, but it is unlikely that you will keep it that long! Enjoy xx
