Easy Banoffi Pie

I LOVE Banoffie Pie and this is a really easy recipe.

Ingredients

·       250g digestive biscuits, crushed*

·       100g butter, melted

·       1 x 397g tin Carnation caramel

·       4 small bananas

·       300ml carton whipping cream, whipped

·       grated chocolate, to decorate

Put the crushed biscuits into a bowl with the melted butter. Mix together thoroughly, then press the mixture into the base and sides of a 23cm loose-based cake tin lined with baking paper. Chill for ten minutes. This will form the base of your easy banoffee pie.

Spread the Carnation caramel over the base with a spoon or a spatula – there's no need to beat.

Slice the bananas and scatter them over the caramel. Spread the cream on top and decorate with grated chocolate. Keep in the fridge until you're ready to eat.

*You could use chocolate digestives if you want a chocolatey base.

Tip: If you don’t have a blender, a good tip to crush biscuits is to place in a plastic carrier bag and beat with a rolling pin or heavy spoon.
