Caroline's Miniblog

A wonderful time at the Romantic Novelist's Association annual residential conference, this year in lovely Leeds. Great to catch up with new authors and friends in a seminar packed event with some cracking speakers and inspirational talks.

Fabulous to have Coffee Tea The Caribbean & Me featured in Thomson Holidays InFlight Magazine Summer 2017 as a 'Top Recommended Read'. Lots of lovely readers send me photos of themselves holding the magazine as they jet off to exotic destinations. Bon voyage and happy reading!

My writing muse is back and 'Hattie Goes To Hollywood' is coming along. Slightly different, this is a murder mystery but readers who are familiar with Hattie will know that there are plenty of laughs along the way. This is the first in a stand-alone series and I am loving the writing process - trying something slightly series.

I thoroughly enjoyed the Romantic Novelist's Association annual conference - a three day event that power-packs content and there is much to learn and enjoy. Am here alongside the lovely Julie Houston, Tracy Bloom and other well-known authors.

May 2017

Finally getting back into a writing groove after a spell of rest and recuperation. Boomerville is finished and in the process of editing and a new WIP in the pipeline, kicking off with Hattie Goes to Hollywood - a cosy mystery series.

November 2016

Jungle Rock has just been published and I'm loving the reviews so far, it seems readers are enjoying this feel-good read as much as I enjoyed writing it.

Some great local events for me recently including The Cheshirati evening in Knutsford, Sandbach Author Signing Day and a chance to see Bob Harris in Nantwich. I enjoyed Creative Writing at MMU with interesting talks from Kit de Waal and Tracy Bloom. Tracy  (No One Ever has Sex On A Tuesday) was inspirational as ever, especially when talking about marketing.

Christmas is coming... Have you made your puds? This pic was taken on a photoshoot with Barry Mellor Photography, with chef Martin Blunos, who has the best puds in town!
